Frequently Asked Questions
What do I bring?
You need only supply your food, choice of beverage, salt water license and appropriate clothing. We supply downriggers, rods, reels, tackle, bait, fish bags and rain gear. Other useful items you may need:
- sunscreen
- sunglasses
- a hat
- suitable clothing
- motion sickness pills (if required)
- camera
What do I wear?
Dressing in layers is the best idea. What the weather is doing in town may differ from the fishing grounds. There is generally more wind on the water and weather patterns change quite frequently. Rain gear is provided for all guests.
Are reservations necessary?
Charter reservations are highly recommended, especially during the high salmon and halibut season of May, June, July, August and September. Reservations are a good idea for booking any charter throughout the year. It gives us ample time to be ready and prepared for your arrival, assuring that your salmon or halibut trip is a successful and positive one. Many of our regular fishing clients book their dates 1 year to 6 months in advance to make sure they get their prime salmon and/or halibut fishing dates.
You will require a B.C. Tidal Water Sports Fishing License. We can arrange for its purchase at a local outlet prior to departure (not included in Charter Rates).
